PRO-2002 clock issue

I have acquired a PRO-2002 that appears to be fully functional, at least RF-wise. I cleaned its switches and knobs with WD-40 and it sounds and squelches great. I also installed a brand new 9V battery into the memory battery compartment. The only problem I have with it is that I cannot set the clock.

I downloaded the manual and followed the instructions: On, Manual, Clock, .AM, 6 digit time in 12-hour format, Enter. The scanner responds with Error.

On the back panel there is a DC/Clock Out switch. If it is set to Out, change it to the other position.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked it and unfortunately the switch is already in the correct position.

Just to be suggestive, cycle the switch a few times, there may be a little bit of oxidation on the contacts. Good luck!
