Hey RadioReference!

I am looking for software that works on Windows 10 that can decode CTCSS tones from an audio source coming in from my sound card.

I found one named ScanScope, but when I try to buy the license for it the website is down(making me not be able to buy it).

Thanks in advance to anyone who has a software,
Kyle

I've used WinCTCSS from antistatic in the past with good results. I'm doubt it will run on W 10, but if you run it under compatibility of XP SP3 it might work.

I saw that, it just doesn’t work properly on windows 10.

They are all crap!

Use the CTCSS/DCS plugin for SDR+. Works a charm!

SDR# can show you the audio tone being used, but you'd need an SDR dongle receiver, an antenna, and the audio from the station transmitting.

Inexpensive frequency counters (check EBay) with CTCSS decoders can also do the job and will even detect digital tones.

Doesn't answer your question but just giving some other options to ponder.

Yea, I am aware of SDR’s. Just didn’t want to have to buy anything then wait for it to be shipped.

Hopefully a working application comes around.

Thanks though.

Am surprised someone hasn't come up with a smartphone app for that.

Just the other day someone was showing how they used their phone as a harmonica, complete with pressing their lips to the phone's edge.

A great age we live in.

I do believe the multi platform Audacity will do it...Mike
Hmm, I will have to look into this. If anyone happens to have any other information; let me know. :D

Yea, I am surprised there is not something updated out there already.
I doubt it is that hard.

I use KG-Tone with FMP24 and with SDRUno. It allows selection of inputs, so you should be able to send baseband audio from any receiver to it via the soundcard.

Dude, give KG Tone a try. It will do exactly what you need. You'll be up and running in 5 minutes. Works fine in Windows10, too.

Ok,

Is the application in a different language too? Or is that just the website?
