Looks like FPD is going to sit on the Eielson trunking frequencies for a while. I have an "in" that tells me that AST is planning to follow in April. It was flustrating for a while when they jumped to Fort Wainwright's set. Looks like North Pole is going to sit with FPD. I was worried there for a while when FPD was on Fort Wainwright's weak signal. I had problems picking them up in North Pole. Change is in the air. I'm just thankful that we are not in some of the bad situations that others from different states have reported (i.e all encrypted frequencies!).

Hello,

Thanks for the update about AST.

About the FPD "frequency sets", is a trunked system, so they don't have a fixed number of frequencies or even sites. It has to do more with which site or sites the units are affiliated with as to where you can hear them.

I can hear FPD just fine here in North Pole, sometimes in three different sites simultaneoulsy (Eielson, Wainwright and Ester). And sometimes they're only coming through on one site, mostly Wainwright/Birch Hill.
