For LE and FD in Currituck do I need to bother loading the VIPER stuff or is everything on the local Conventional stuff? Also, I saw in another post dated 2024 they are getting some new frequencies and lost some existing frequencies - is that for Viper or their local conventional system? So confusing.

For local businesses - are either of these two companies reselling airtime - any freqs or details?
  1. Coastal Electronics
  2. Copeland Communicaitons & Electronics

Last but not least, does anyone have any info on frequencies to listen to any of the following:
  • Bob's Wild Horse Tours
  • Corolla Wild Horse Tours
  • Corolla Horse Tours
  • Corolla Jeep Adventures
  • Wild Horse Adventure Tours

I’d only load VIPER if you wanna hear any state LE, Highway Patrol, Wildlife Resources Commission, Marine Fisheries or any medevac helo’s. The conventional frequencies for Currituck are still valid, drove down Friday night and was getting SO, encrypted though. Didn’t hear a whole lot from fire but they didn’t get any calls. I believe the new frequencies are for their conventional frequencies but haven’t heard any updates on it

Fire is currently conventional P25. SO is only running on their conventional encrypted channel. I have never heard them on viper on the Camden county VIPER sites. Not sure of they are on other sites. Last information I received they do not use viper TG for the SO, but I could be wrong.

SO and Fire only use their conventional P25 frequencies. The only time I’ve heard SO on VIPER is when they were having radio issues 2-3 years ago. Was just down last weekend and coming through Currituck, got them both on conventional, only activity I got on the Barco site for VIPER was SHP A1, Marine Fisheries and Camden County Sheriff. Going down again this weekend also, will post findings

Can confirm Fire is still using their respective conventional frequencies
