Ever since Currituck went to P25 trunking (and even before on the P25 Conventional system) I have been getting complaints about garbled audio. This is because the BCD996XT can't decode very well from a simulcast system. My advice to anyone who is willing, go buy yourself a $750 SDS200, and start your own feed. After the last complaint, I went ahead and pulled my feed off the air. Believe me I am just as annoyed by it, but I'm not shelling that kind of cash out to dedicate to an online feed for free.

I've enjoyed listening to your feed many times over the years and I was wondering what happened to it. I figured it was because of the move to P25 Phase 2. You can always go the route of a cheap $50 SDR (it's what I did for the new Dare County Broadcastify Calls feed). I'd set up a stream if I could, but I can't reliably pick it up all the way down here in Wanchese, even with a high dB rooftop antenna. I have it programmed in on an SDS200 and it only picks up a signal on certain days.

Agreed with the 996XT, I used to have Dare's Simulcast feed and the only way I was able to pick up anything was a high dB directional antenna at nearly ground level with the scanner attenuation turned on, and even then decode would garble after a few seconds. They are pretty much only good for VHF around here now
