In the pages for the ICIS system there is a Custom Frequency Table. I have been studying the BCD366T manual and the ARC396 manual and don't remember seeing any reference to a Custom Frequency Table.

Also, it the Talk Group section there's a Tag column. What does that represent?

Thanks

Since it's a Motorola UHF system the custom table needs to be used. Look in the manuals for programming VHF/UHF systems or search the documents for Offset.
Don't k now about the Tag, says something about Service Tag Info, I guess it might be for dept. radios and what they will display.

JoeDunn,

As you are setting up your system, you will need to select MOT then UHF system. In the system options, goto the 'edit band plan'. Select band plan 1 and in the base enter the frequency in the table, in the offset, enter the value from the DB, then do the same for step.

Just as a note, next time, you might consider posting your question in either the Uniden or your local area forum. This is the administration forum.

Thanks for putting me in the correct forum.

RR has a Custom Frequency Table for the ICIS system in Glendale with a Base 480.5000, Space 12.5 and Offset 380. For Burbank they show Base 470.0125, Space 12.5 and Offset of 380. Shouldn't the Offset change when the Base changes?

Thanks

No, the offset is a fairly common number. I forget (or don't know) what it really does. However nearly every trunk table I have seen has the offset start at 380. For a single table, take that value as a constant unless there is a table telling you otherwise.

Nearly the only time you will not see the offset as 380 is for a multitable system or one like the Virginia STARS system that has a very high offset (it is also a multitable system).

If you have a PSR-500, the offset is also part of the channel settings. The low channel is the offset and for a single table the high value is 759 (one less than double 380). For multi table systems, the low and high channels are the offset for the table and one less than the offset of the following table or 380 (for normal tables)

Table 1 offset 380 channel lo 380 channel high 569
Table 2 offset 570 channel lo 570 channel high 759
