not sure how this made it into this particular forum, but the answer is yes.

when it came to that particular mic, I always wired it up to an 8pin and made adapters to use it on other radios.

if you know the pin set up on the radio, you may have a diagram under the d104 mic base. unscrew the 4? screws and check if it is there.

It appears pin 5 on the Realistic is used to ground a relay in the power supply for shifting from receive to xmit. Thus, connecting pin 5 xmit to contact A on the Make-Break Section in this JPG may be a solution.

The Cobra does not use a relay for shifting.

ok, what is that, and could I see a picture of this?

As well, sorry for putting it into this forum, but didn't know which other forum could've suited the question. Besides it is for a CB so....
