i got a 396xt on a good deal will this scanner pick up on this system, my psr 800 gets them no problem.

No on the 396XT. The system is Phase II.

The 396xt DOES in fact track and monitor both Dade County 700mHz sites. They are NOT using Phase-2 modulation. All 700 and 800mHZ sites associated with the Tennessee Valley system use Phase-1 P25 and have the capability of opening in Phase 2 which is ONLY the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
My 396xt tracks these systems just fine.

Dade Walker Catoosa Counties on TN P-25

I was there this week and they sounded just fine. Used my GRE PSR 500 handheld.

If you are listening to those counties, you will also hear Chattanooga - Hamilton County.

i know this is old seems that dade has gone quiet has anybody heard any traffic on the talk group lately
