You might have issues with condensation leaving it out in the freezing temperature overnight. I would not keep it on, and give it a day inside to dry out. Unplug the battery as well. But I know I am over cautious with electronics, ever since I had a Motorola portable radio in my back pocket while I jumped from a Navy tugboat in the middle of Chesapeake Bay to another tug and the radio fell out of my pocket. Divers happened to be on the tug and retrieved it. 2 days later it was nothing but corrosion inside. And I had washed it with fresh water as soon as I was on shore in the radio shop. Water and electronics don't mix well

The most common causes of "Nothing to Scan" issues is Service Types and Location. If you are using the Full Database be sure that the location is set properly. Then check that your Service Types are turned on.

Same goes for Favorites Lists.

Sometimes a location like punching in zipcode or auto locate will solve that problem of nothing to scan
