I know there are multiple database admins for this site, but I'm wondering if there are multiple for a given area, or ???

It'd be nice to be able to occasionaly dialogue with the person that I'm submitting information to. I've been working to get my county current in the database, and was doing a few agencies per week as not to overload anyone. It's been a few weeks now since my last submission, and I haven't yet seen the info make it to the database.

Not trying to prod anyone, just want to make sure the info made it, and might want to dialogue further as I upload.

There are various levels of Database Admins on here. There are a few with Global access (the entire thing), a few with one or more states, some with a few counties, some with just certain trunked systems.

You have to remember that most of us are volunteers and don't devote our entire lives to this. So, if it takes a while for something that you submitted to be entered into the DB, that's just the way it is. Not too much you can do except wait, and, possibly submit it again.

It could have also been a case where the data was inaccurate or incomplete, and the Admin decided not to use it. There could be a number of factors.

Hope that helps

Most of you are volunteers? Not all? You mean there are paid professional scanner database admins? Where do I sign up! ;) Talk about a dream job...

It takes time to submit the data, and I'm trying to be a good citizen. I'm not wanting to resubmit if someone is just busy, I'd rather it sit until they get a chance to deal with it. On the other hand, if there is a problem with the data, I'd hope that they'd contact me. That's why I provide an email address with each submission.

Anyway, thanks for the reply. I'd be happy to admin the database for my area (since the only info that was in there before I started submitting was a bit out of date and contained errors, and I'm the only one updating it now), but I don't want to step on any toes.

Just trying to give back to a great site.

I'd be happy to sign up for the Sacramento Valley area. I've got plenty of time to do it.

What did you submit? I don't see anything pending in California.

I've been doing updates to San Luis Obispo County. Everything in that county except for Sheriff, Co Fire & Camp Roberts was submitted by me. I've been doing a few municipalities per week (that seems to be about the amount of time it takes from submission to database entry, give or take).

Latest submission was Cayucos CSD, City of Morro Bay, Templeton Community Services District and Cambria Community Services District.

I see a submission on 10/14 that has been owned by another CA admin. I don't show it worked though. Maybe mdfillipp can comment?

Strangely I don't show it on the main admin page.

Sorry for the delay, Kirk.

No problem. Sometimes life gets in the way of play. ;)

When I did the corrections for SLO County Sheriff, I also submitted info for County municipal systems. I don't see them in the database yet. Are they pending?

Suggestion the DB admins might want to pass along to Lindsay: If you do a freq submission and put in an email address and check the "it's ok to contact me box", maybe the software could forward a copy of the submission back to the sender?

I've got lots to contribute, but sometimes have trouble remembering what I've already submitted.

I don't see anything pending so I'll research it when I get time. Maybe another admin may know.
