DCFD dispatch

I have noticed when monitoring DCFD that transmissions from communications hit dead spots. In other words they dispatch an assignment and midway through it a dead spot then it continues.Is this the dispatcher or something on my end?

No, it's not you, it's them. From the sound of things on the legacy dispatch patch the dispatchers are using a vox circuit which causes the dropouts. Been that way for years and I doubt they'll ever change. Listen to Montgomery County or other local fire agencies instead; it's much easier on the psyche and ears.
