I have a Uniden BCD 996T scanner that gives me great service until recently. About 2 weeks ago I no longer could pickup DCFD transmissions. I have not touched the radio so I eliminated that as the problem.
Has something changed with regard to frequencies etc? Anybody who can help would be appreciated.

The first thing that comes to mind would be do you have ALL the control channels for that system? If you don't, what you have described is exactly what might happen. Make sure you get all the red and blue colored freqs in the db.

The other possibility is that the system is now using one of the previously-voice freqs as a control channel. To diagnose this, it's probably easiest to dump ALL the frequencies - control and voice - into the scanner and see if things return to normal.

best regards..Mike

Well first I know it works since I was monitoring DCFD last Wednesday. I would first check to see if you did not inadvertently "lock out" one of the frequencies by going into Program System/Select your DC Fire/Edit Sys Option/Review ID Srch L/O. If you have lockout anything, unlock it. It you have nothing locked out then I would reprogram the DC fire frequencies. Hopefully you use Freescan or another scanner software package since it is a pain to do it manually. Good Luck

yup
Having any problems with any other systems or channels?

Maybe DC changed one of the repeater locations - or maybe the closest site to you is off the air - or maybe they changed an antenna pattern.

Nothing in DC has changed in years and nothing will be changing until rebanding. Something has happened to your radio or configuration.
