Its interesting. I have talked to a few of the voices you may have heard behind the mic on these frequencies we are talking about, most all of them believe that no one can listen to them for one reason or another.

Well shame on them. I've talked to "the guys behind the microphones" too and most of them seem to know there is not a twisted pair of copper wire following them down the road hooked to their microphone.

Maybe you should be should be their new comsec guy. You seem to know all about it. Your input is appreciated. But as far as here in the Georgia area there is copper flying behind all the FLINT aircraft in the Atlanta metro.

You made the comment on how people should not be posting federal frequency information. I just pointed out how ridiculous the comment was, and it is.

I don't like to chime in on these debates, but I think it is true that we (me included) can spoil the fun of clear coms by broadcasting the "in the clear" announcement in real time. I have also heard the same thing from some of "the voices behind the mic", but others are very careful because they know people listen. More and more agencies are doing full time encryption because it works on P25 much better AND they know we listen. Many use it even when there is no need to, and that is a shame. All I hear some days is 100% "toilet noise"! But when they throw us a frickin bone here, it sounds so good. P25 audio has matured and sounds great! :)

So I too must be careful not to broadcast some stuff in real time, especially if it is "in the clear". ;)

Well I think that I'm about to get another infraction and I don't think I can get anymore. Have a good one brother.
