So, I'm using RTL to decode a P25 phase 1 transmission. Sometimes (rarely, like once every minute or two) I get a clear decoded output. The rest of the time, I either get TDULC or the transmission is choppy. I'm using UniTrunker to do all the other work, no SDRSharp or anything. It sounds a lot better just using UniTrunker then with it controlling SDRSharp.

Anyways, what settings could be causing this? I'm running it at 2.560 MSPS, but higher or lower doesn't help the transmission much at all. Drift Correct and Baseband AGC is all on.

Would frequency correction (PPM) affect this at all? I have it set to 0, I don't know what the ppm is of my SDR device.

Would appreciate help,
Thanks

I know this is of little help, but I'm having similar problems (see my post). I'm just trying to monitor P25 transmissions. I get a word or two and then words start dropping out. Very choppy. I feel like I've tried everything. I'm using SDR Sharp and DSD Plus together.

Yes, it makes a big difference. If you tried to listen to an FM station on the radio but were tuned off the correct frequency, you would not hear it well.
