I have been noticing over the past few weeks that Delcomm has been dispatching runs off more than one talkgroup. I've seen them dispatch off the usual "Dispatch" channel as in the database, but also on talkgroups such as "PREV 1" and "SP-OPS 1".

Kind of odd, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

I believe what you are hearing is the station alerting talkgroups that are patched to the primary DelComm channel. If Medic 7 is being dispatched, you will hear it on DelComm primary, along with TG10013 (station 7 alerting). This way the station can set their base radio to only receive a dispatch if it is their call vs listening to the entire county being dispatched all day long. This began back when Del Co went to their 800 system. I posted about this back on Sept 4, 2015, and submitted them for the RR database, but I don't think they were ever loaded.

TG 10013 is the station PA for Medic 7, at least it was a few years ago.
I believe Prev1 became DFD Station 303 alerting.

Here is what I know of (I'm sure there are some new ones, but I haven't checked in a few years) Hope this helps!

You know I've noticed this happening on Columbus in the past few months. The TGIDs are unknown and kinda wedged between other TGIDs of other uses. Did Columbus stop using the 900 MHz station link?

Yes, around the time they started using Locution; everything to the fire stations is via the IP network now. Station alerting talkgroups are supposedly for backup use only.

When sent via IP network, Locution can dispatch multiple stations on multiple runs simultaneously, which is why you'll sometimes hear fire companies mark responding before Locutia speaks it on the radio (especially when multiple runs get backed up on the radio).

The 900 MHz system (MOSCAD) itself replaced the direct telephone lines to the stations, some of which dated back to the Gamewell bell alarm system.
