I am not familiar with the BCT15X....

Can you just enter 154.800 with no tone and when it picks something...will it display the tone? ( Like I described with my HP-2)

Pretty sure the BCT15X is like the BCD996XT without the P25 and if it is, then you can search for tones with it.

Last night I removed the pl tone from m system, nothing. Turning on this morning I briefly heard communication on 154.800, but nothing else. no tone showed up on the display, only the freq. Thoughts?

Like I said, I am not familiar with your scanner

I know the HP-2 would have displayed a tone along with audio of that transmission....

Maybe get hold of the fire feed providers over your way (I assume you live in Delaware Co) and see if they know what's up.

I have been hearing them on 154.800 analog on my transceiver with no pl tones programmed into my radio, so it's not their end.

Yeah, you would pick them up with just 154.800 programmed. But I have a PD in the next county over east of me that also uses 154.800, so if I don't use a PL tone I will get both at the same time which causes distortion at times.

It seems they are still on 154.800 at this point, just trying to figure if the PL is still 118.8 or something else....

Alright ran my scanner this morning and heard three transmissions. The first was a pl 136.5 the second didn't show one then the third showed 136.5 again. What I have noticed was their repeater wasn't IDing so I had to wait a while to hear traffic. Maybe that's why when you turned ctcss off you didn't here anything.

Okay I'll give 136.5 a try and see what I can hear. I'll hook up to my outdoor VHF/UHF ham antenna and I should be able to pull them in.

Many (non-amateur) repeaters turn off CTCSS during a CWID. If you have tone squelch enabled, this may be why you don't hear it ID.

Not yet, been busy putting in some OT at work, (trying to fund a new ham radio), I'll hook up tonight and I am off all day tomorrow, so I'll see what I can hear and let you know.

Okay, hooked up to my outdoor antenna on PL 136.5 I got nothing for an hour and a half parked on DCSO....

Had some errands to run this morning near the state line, so I went mobile and again got nothing using PL 136.5.....

Don't know what is going on...

You guys in OK are in better position than me, so if anybody is going solve this mystery it will be you guys.

Am now able to hear them on my ft-1900 using a 2m vertical mounted in the attic. Signal was only S5 using this setup so no way to hear them using a handheld with rubber duck at my location in Siloam Springs. I scanned through all pl tones including 118.8 several times but none were triggered.

They're now using DCS code 532

The new tone has been identified as a DPL tone of 532 and has already been submitted to the database. Hope this helps.

for what its worth ive been hearing grove on there uhf , county on there vhf and I don't even have them programed in my BCT15X . Also hearing mayes county on there vhf side and hearing the trunked system in Ottawa county which I'm guessing has Miami , sheriff , ems , ohp . my antenna is only 25ft up and im in the sticks and in a low spot near Bernice .
