I have been listening to the Denver Fire and EMS feed on the live feeds section of this site and noticed that I hear an ambulance get dispatched on a call and their dispatch says they are responding with fire, but I never hear Fire get dispatched. How do the Denver Fire Units get alerted that they have a call?

You will hear the tones for the calls on VHF 154.070. The EDACS System does not have the initial call although they sometimes will repeat 'Engine 1 responding to 123 Maple St. for a Fall' after a certain amount of time on Channel 1 Not sure that the live feed has 154.070 in it. I find it hard to listen to both because 154.070 often doesn't clear after a transmission and will stick for 10 minutes at a time so it will block other traffic!

Vocal Alarms in station and MDT's when they are out of station but there is a brief announcement on channel 1 06-021 "E-8 headed to Colfax and Downing on a man down".

Bill's Denver feed does not feed 154.070

I have heard DFD on Tom's feed at times he is running the VHF channel. Jump on in Tom if this is incorrect. His feed is Douglas County Fire, it not always online.

yea I have found the Denver fire locks the scanner up really bad. I have noticed littleton fire comes in really scratchy at times and other times it is so nice and clear. I am using a laptop to stream for some reason the laptop will stay on all day with out over heating then there are days it shuts down within a couple of hours why i don't know . To make my scanner a little more interesting because Douglas County fire is not all that busy as we know I have added every conventional frequency I could fine from Castle Rock to Fremont County , from Castle Rock to Jeffco , I have added the Pike NF and some of the nearest National Parks for the fire season. At night when it is quiet a through on Castle Rock PD. I get pretty good comms from Jeffco and from Elbert county I have noticed. I live almost at the top of Plumb Creek hwy my dis cone antenna is on my porch of my apartment , and I use a pro197 scanner. If anyone has any other ideals on what to add please email me at t_billman@hotmail.com.thanks

What is Pagetap?
Pagetap is a pager with a printer that prints out the incident address, time of dispatch and incident number along with responding equipment. It is generated and sent by CAD automatically.

Tom, I had a laptop that would overheat all the time I went to wally world and picked up a cool pad the thing that you set under the laptop with fans under it, it was a inexpensive fix to my problem.
