Denver NC G5 test

Anyone in the Denver, NC area have a Unication G5 that could program a system from Cleveland County in to see if it picks up? I am thinking of buying a G5 and was curious if anyone could test before I purchased.

I understand that the pager would work while in Shelby but my question is would it work in Denver, NC to pick up the Cleveland County System.

I would doubt it. Maybe if you are in the right spot and have some elevation.

I'm optimistic, I have heard of people in south charlotte picking up Cleveland. I’m 34 miles directly from new home to tower in Shelby.

As the crow flies I am about 4 miles from Denver and I cannot pick up Cleveland County at my house either on my G4 or my commercial gear.

Negative, its the same exact receiver. G4 & G5 are the exact radio in terms of 7/800. The only difference is a 2nd receiver for VHF or UHF.

Well that likely answers my question then. Looks like I’ll focus on external antenna route for my 100/200. I can pick up CC in my house in certain spots on the 100 so I figured the G5 would have worked.
