I know Denville has been planning on switching from low band to UHF for quite some time. They licensed 472.20000 as a repeater awhile back. Today I picked up PL 179.9 on this frequency full quieting in Hanover Twp. Just keys ups, no voice. Anyone in the know.

FYI...Riverdale Fire also in Morris County uses the same frequency with PL 192.8.

Yep Sybex...I confirmed that back then. But, they haven't used it in a long time, only low band. I just had this PL pop today, so maybe their system is up and being tested finally. 472.2000 is the frequency they actually licensed, unlike the other one.

I heard from an Ex-Chief, that DFD was in the process of getting the system up and running. Also, it's to be used as a FG only. I 'll ask tomorrow about what's going on.

Nice lack of coordination to put two agencies that don't want to be on the same freq. Did they get a waiver out in Denville for the UHF-T band? If it's FG only then what are the repeater clicks?
Does the license call it an FB2?

The Ex-Deputy Chief, said that two repeaters were up and two more will be later on. Also, he said it will be used for FG ops, no dispatch. But he also stated that the bases are not up and running yet. 46.24 will
still be dispatch, when this system is fully operational. Also, he said that DFD, hopes to have system up by the end of this year.
