Does anyone around here live in or around Deschutes County, and would you be willing to teach me how to program it? I found out how to find the info on freescan, just dont know how to get it on my scanner itself. And yes I do have a premium subscription to radioreference.

Obviously you didn't read the user manual I mentioned -- there's a section there reserved for import operations. The user manual parallels the pulldowns option for option

The Deschutes system is a basic Motorola type II trunk system. I've not programmed one into a BC346XT though I do have a BCT15 which is sorta like the big older brother. I dont use freescan and dont know anything about it. but basicly, you set up a NEW SYSTEM, call it Deschutes Co or whatever and set it up as a 800Mz type II trunk system, then within that system set up a NEW SITE, that will be where you enter your freqencies, then set up a NEW GROUP, that is where you enter your TGID's (talk group ID #). The city of Redmond has thier own system, which you would set up the same way, new system, new site etc. If you can't understand or get freescan to work for you then do it by hand, they are small systems with not many freqs or TGID's so they wouldn't take to long once you got the hang of it. I'd be glad to help, but, I'm 200 miles from you. Go into the Uniden board and/or the Motorola Trunk board on this website if you can't get it. good luck and welcome to RR.

Ben--Read your private messages. I sent you instructions for programming this system into your receiver by hand. Much easier! This method worked great for me when I was there last week.

Happy listening!
