Digital Modulation as Database key in trunked database?

I am the proud owner of a new Pro-96. Someone from another state
is asking me if it is a worthwhile investment for their area. How can
I know at a glance which of their systems requires a newer (e.g. digital)
trunking scanner?

I can query the database to show me trunking type (e.g. Motorola, EDACS), but not the 'advanced' types like ASTRO, 9600 baud CC and
APCO 25 modulation.

How do I see / get this data without having to click on every individual
database entry?

Wherever that person lives, go to that area in the database here and look it up. If it is a Digital system it will says so. Ex. Motorola 800 MHz Apco-25 9600. Most Digital systems are either 3600(3.6k )or 9600(9.6k) and these 2 numbers are a give away for the New Digital Systems!

The type is only a global type. You'd have to click on every system to
see if digital modulation is being used. I'd like to see the numbers you
mention show up in the summary for each state and county.

The format right now is set up for each individual system. As the only way you can get information to program your scanner is by looking at each individual system, the complete format for each is on an individual basis. Maybe eventually Lindsay will set it up so that not only will the type be listed but a small add in that has idgital format... EX: Motorola (D 3.6k) or Motorola (D 9.6k), or EDACS (D PV).

I just want to see the same sort of overview, similar to what you said:

If you look at the individual counties instead of the entire state, it gives you the information you are looking for. For example, click on San Diego County in the California listing. If you are looking for the value of a digital scanner in a particular area I would think you would want to look at the specific counties where a person lives or likely would travel to.

It looks like a formatting issue, not enough space to add details with needing to list the county in the broad state overview.

But what if those 20 LTR systems are boring business systems that you're not interested in anyway....

I understand what you're asking for, but if you're researching for what kind of systems are in your area (and on which radio to spend the $500), the best and only way is to go into each one and see what they're used for instead of just what kind.
