Which digital radio from Motorola are still in production? I'm pretty sure the XTS2500 is, I heard that the 5000 and the 1500 are not being made anymore. For the mobiles the XTL5000 and the 1500? Thanks

Considering I have just bought about 3000 /\/\ radios over the past 7 months...
The XTS 5000 is still and will continue to be the flagship portable for Motorola. It is accompanied with the XTS1500 and XTS2500 which are fully digital radios. The XTS3000s are still in production, though not big sellers...

On the mobile side the XTL radios are exactly the same radio with different software functions and control head options. The models mirror the portables with XTL1500, XTL2500 and XTL5000. The XTL5000 being the flagship version with multiple control head options which include many of the spectra heads, W4, W7 and W9 heads along with its native O5 head.

My son's school just got one of these for every faculty there. They work on 900 MHz and are simplex. Sound quality isn't all that great. Sounds just like nextels.
