Can someone please tell me how to enter known talkgroups into my 651? I have it set to "wildcard" but I have all the talkgroups for the system I monitor and want to add them instead of waiting for them to pop up and hitting store. Thanks.

Assuming you are asking for manual instructions on how to do this, you will find Easier to Read Pro-106/197/PSR500/600 Digital Scanner Manual to be useful.

That being said,
1. You're looking to program (PGM) a new (NEW) talkgroup (TGRP).
2. Select you desired Scan Lists you want it to reside in (marked by a *).
3. Seeing that you have a wildcard already programmed, then you likely have a properly programmed Trunked System (TSYS: ). Select the TSYS that you want to program the TGRP for using the Left/Right arrows.
4. Now you want to program a talkgroup ID (ID: ) Enter the known ID into this field.
5. It's nice to have an alpha tag (Tag: ) the talkgroup so that you can easily read what it is without having to look it up. Make sure to select (SEL) this in order to edit it. You can quickly clear it using FUNC + CL. Now you want to press the button for the letter you want to enter and follow this by position of this letter. For example, if I want to enter a F, I want to hit 3 (DEF) and then 3 (F is in the third place). Now if I want to enter D, I want to hit 3 (DEF), and 1 (D is in the first place).
6. Save your settings. You have just successfully programmed your desired talkgroup.
