Heres one for the record. Lets see who has the answer to this problem. When I turn on my BC 296 Nothing appears on my screen AT ALL!!!! PLZ help. Owned a 250 D and nothing ever happened like this.

As in no backlight, or no nothing?

I would suspect that you will need to open it up and check the display flex. If its been dropped or bumped around (with or without your knowledge) it may have come loose or a solder connection broken.

Backlight works .. Just no display..

Does it communicate with the software?
Does it make noise - Static? transmissions?
Try resetting the scanner (you will lose the memory)
I would suggest posting it in a Uniden Forum on this site. You are more likely to get the answer in the correct forum.
