I recently bought the SDS100 and am enjoying it a lot but cannot seem to get the DMR channels to work. I’m trying to get the Sheriff and Fire for Hot Spring County Arkansas to work. I have programmed them into a favorites list through Sentinel. I have my service types all turned on. I upgraded the DMR for my scanner. I still have not heard a single thing on any of the channels. I feel like the only thing I can get to work are the P25 systems and that is it. Hot Spring Co seems to have a mix of Analog and DMR. I do expect for it to not be busy all of the time but I haven’t heard anything at all. Attached is a screenshot of when I have it held on the local sheriffs department. Anyone have any tips to get this rolling. Thanks for any help. 80818

To check if you actually are within range and can receive the transmissions, program a new favorite list or a new system as conventional and analog only without any subtones. Then scan that system.

If you can receive the transmissions you should hear the datasignal from the DMR transmission. Write down the frequency and avoid it. After a while you'll have a list of the frequencies that you can in fact receive and compare those to the DMR systems you have programmed.

You might need better antennas to recieve 154MHz than what the stock antenna can provide.
