Golden Nugget casino is also DMR now

I couldn't update the db with color codes, but noticed that all Golden Nugget frequencies are DMR now. I submitted the update to the db regarding the emission switch.

DMR Info on FCC Licenses

I couldn't update the db with color codes, but noticed that all Golden Nugget frequencies are DMR now. I submitted the update to the db regarding the emission switch.

It's very important if possible to obtain the DMR Color Code (0-15) # first, then also the Time Slot (1 or 2) and Talk Group(s) used would be better yet.
That's why we need your help as RR members with DMR scanners or users with SDR with DSD+ to monitor these systems and the submit their info to RR.
Just looking at a licensee's emissions to see if they are currently licensed and or have recently modified their licensee to DMR does not help much when updating the DB.

Thank you,

I personally confirmed while I was down in AC that they DO NOT use analog anymore. This is a fact. Therefore the DB, should at least indicate that for starters instead of having Incorrect information.

Next time a hobbyist with a DMR capable scanner goes down to AC, they can provide further information regarding color codes, slots, etc..

I have 453.26250 in my 668 (Whistler upgrade) for Wall Twp DPW on DMR wildcard. Last night around 10 while driving the GSP in Monmouth the channel became active with traffic that sounded like a transportation outfit. Many locations were mentioned but mostly areas in Atlantic County including Ventnor. They also mentioned "buses" several times so I don't think it was pure car service or cab company. As I arrived home the traffic continued even without the exterior antenna, that is- just with the duck. I'm guessing a band opening as the traffic did eventually just drop. You can see the attached screen shot. Color code was 1, but the slot was 2, which is different than Wall. Anybody down that way may be able to confirm who it is?

They did mention locations on LBI as well. Do you have any idea if this is a public transport service or a private outfit?

The FCC License they operate under is licensed to the township.

Makes sense. Some the locations I heard don't, but they may have been streets, not the towns that they were referring to. Website says service ends at 10, so I guess they were finishing up for the night when I caught them. Thanks to all for the feedback!

I am curious if Kenilworth will actually use DMR or analog. Sometimes licenses say "DMR", but end up being analog after all. I am curious if anyone gets any confirmation on this and can submit to DB.

A lot of agencies and business's will go through a "third" party company to license their agency etc. These companies "manage" and "assist"
for a fee all the FCC licensing "red tape" including frequency coordination with the appropriate coordinators APCO for PW pool frequencies and various for IG pool.
I have noticed especially in the IG Pool i.e. Business. Some of these third party companies
Automatically add the DMR emission to the licensee application. Was this the issue for Kenilworth? In most cases especially in PW pool, if DMR is indicated as an emission the agency will switch. Examples: Kennilon, Rockaway and Lavalett just to name a few.
Also about half of the agencies that do switch to DMR especially PDs use DMR encryption.
As to business's, just because DMR emission is listed on the license it's a matter of if and not when they do switch over to DMR. This can also apply to PW licenses too.
So if the DMR emission appears in an agency's licensee, you just have to be diligent and monitor them for the change. SDRs and software can help monitor, track and log this activity.

Take note, a lot of NJ municipal and regional BOEs are now being licensed with DMR.

I'll add this today or tomorrow and should be listening a good portion of this weekend. I noticed it was already added to the DB. Did someone confirm?

Not confirmed yet. The only item updated was the Call Sign, changed from the expired license to the new authorization.
