My scanner will only receive intermittent transmissions it might scan the frequencies for about an hour or more before it receives another signal this is occurring with all the DMR frequencies in my area of Marion county Tennessee. I have moved the scanner around different areas of the house. Have tried indoor and outdoor antennas. Use the scanner in Mobile use and all with the same results

It makes a difference what kind of DMR signal you are trying to monitor. Is it conventional or trunked? If trunked, what type of DMR trunking? How do you know that you are missing calls?

Scanning a DMR Moto turbo trunk system. I know I'm missing calls because I have a Motorola police radio that I am receiving all transmissions on plus another scanner 160 handheld. I no, the frequency is very active so that's how I know where I am missing calls while monitoring the scanner

If it is a trunked system, you are not monitoring one frequency but multiple frequencies. They have to be programmed very specifically into the scanner. The only DMR with public safety in that county I see is the Mobile Comm America system. That is Cap+ which requires the LCN to be properly programmed. Verify that the LCN is correct.
Verify that the frequencies and talkgroups have not been locked out

Under that system in the database, there is a note that the Marion County users are switching to TACN (Statewide P25P2 system). Perhaps they have changed?

I have checked and rechecked the frequencies and talk groups appear to be installed correctly with correct lcns. This county is still using DMR multi-turbo mobile communications of America and has not changed to p25 as of this date. They have stated to me that they will not change the p25 for the next two years it seems the programming has to be right or it would not pick up the talk groups at different times

Set up a conventional system in the scanner with just the 4 frequencies and set it for digital only. See if that makes a difference. You will have to listen to all the users and the rest channel keyups but that would be the only alternative if you believe your programming is correct.
