Maybe its hopeless, any help/tips appreciated!

Trying to program DMR type 3 system into my BCD325P2. Radio has firmware 1.09.12 with DMR upgrade.

System is Talquin Electric Cooperative Site: Tallahassee (site 4). I created NEW SYSTEM // DMR/MotoTRBO // NEW SITE and entered the three frequencies with LCNs and CC=0 as listed in database.

Transmitter is line-of-site to me, and if I enter the frequencies as a new CONVENTIONAL system with digital audio, it booms audio, but the DMR/MotoTRBO system is silent. the display shows per the attached file, so I *think* I'm locked to the system.

Any insight appreciated.

Not familiar with that scanner but usually you need lcn info entered. Not sure if you did that or not but lcn is logical channel number.

I solved this problem! I did a lot of reading in the Forum and Wiki and that led me to two things-

1) I wrote an Excel spreadsheet where I could enter different base frequencies and steps to calculate LCNs that might be used for this system, and after experimenting with probably 15-20 different sets of LCNs (which took many hours over several days), I found a set that seemed to work. Interestingly, these LCNs just happen to be 1/2 the values listed in the RR database.

2) Based on a comment buried in another Forum thread, I increased the site hold time from 0 to a larger value (8).

Voila! Everything seems to work just fine. I don't know exactly how the hold time factors in, but as values decrease from 4 towards 0, the performance gets ragged and the system doesn't lock up completely solid. If I increase the hold time to a large value, like 20, everything seems to lock up solid.
