Had my Pro-18 and PSR 800 upgraded when it was first offered. Does more than upgrade DMR and even P25 simulcast works well at my location. Note that simulcast varies greatly with conditions and location due to the older design of these radios.

I don’t use my PSR-800 much these days, but I upgraded mine for future support. Paid a lot for it so support in the future was worth it for me.

Both @jaspence and @KevinC make good sense, I have two that were upgraded, a RS PRO668 and GRE PSR800, the ability to update the library and program with EZ Scan is a great reason, performance was definitely improved, and who knows what they'll add in the future.

For $60 it was like getting a new scanner.

I sent a email to them asking what option to choose, mine works fine, but the USB port is broken. It is hacked, but I understand the replace the main board on the hacked one's anyway.
