We have been messing with DMR and IDAS/NXDN quite abit here in WI. Digital Speech Decoder is now available for windows so this has helped with listening, but it is rather unrefined. For IDAS and NXDN Trunking we have been using ICOM IDAS radios. The Kenwood radios will not work to listen to NXDN trunking unless you have the system key. ICOM IDAS does not require system keys, and and DMR radio will work for DMR, however we have been using Motorola only because we received them cheap. By using the programing software, DSD, DMRdecode, and trial and error. we have figured out some hints and tricks to effectively monitor these modes.
