Does anyone remember......

....what came in the original UNIDEN BCD996XT box when purchased brand new? I thought I remembered a mounting cage that the scanner AND another 1-DIN sized radio could be mounted in that fit into a double din dash opening. I can't find any information on it and now seem to think I may have imagined it. Both of mine I bought used.

If purchased new-in-box, the DIN sleeve and the "keys" came with it.

The sleeve was shown as an optional accessory for the 536HP.

Whoever you bought the 996XT from either retained the DIN sleeve, or perhaps discarded (ormisplaced) it when they got the scanner, because they were not going to use it.
