I recently picked up a TK-5210 and learned for local Conventional P25 Rptr can operate without a TG in P25 mode. This is something I wasn't used to seeing. It was recommended I use MIXED mode to hear anything on the repeater as it does support Analog & P25.
My question is, I saw, when programming, my NX-411, the KPG software also has a MIXED mode option. Does NXDN operate the same as P25? no TG required.
I've seen this being talked about on Yaesu Fusion.
Most of my activity, (DMR/NXDN/P25), is through a Ham MMDVM hot spot, so I've only know using a TG's.
Thanks, Pete
