Regarding the unknown sites for this system:

Domer Communications NEO NXDN96 Trunked Trunking System, Akron-Canton, Ohio - Scanner Frequencies

Could members in these areas please check for activity on these frequencies and submit that information?

Unless we can at least pin down what county each unknown site it in, they're going to be moved to the Wiki until locations can be narrowed down.

Here is a list of sites licensed (active or expired) to any Domer Communications business trunked systems. There's a good possibility that the unknown sites on the above system are at or near these locations as well.

Not sure were going to be able to pin licenses with sites. The normal Domer licenses don't seem to list any of the correct frequencies for this system. Possibly listed under Domer's Part 22 licenses..? If so, still not much info from them either.

Not looking for specific site confirmations at this time, we just need to get them narrowed down to specific counties for starters. If someone with a handheld scanner can pick up the Site X control channel within County X, that would at least narrow it down.

I've really been working some more on this. Somebody [in this thread] submitted some useful recently. As mentioned, very difficult giiven the Part 22 frequencies listed.

I can hear 3-4 sites from here in Carrollton, but the problem is that most of them are so weak that I really can't capture any voice on them and they are not heavily used. That plus the fact that they use Part 22 stuff [and the Part 22 stuff for the most part is only market area specific, with no real location pinned down].

I know the sites [besides Carrollton] are in Akron/Canton area. I haven't been up AKR/CAN in a long time. And I don't have the inclination to go driving by myself and haul along a computer / SDR / antenna to start tracking down sites in cities I have no familiarty with.

You've got the right idea though. If everybody on these boards who lives in Stark/Summit and surrounding counties would report back if they can pick up any of the Domer frequencies on a handheld from their location, we could get a fix on many of these sites.

Mike

PS: I'll go out tomorrow and find the exact tower site in Carrollton that Site 9 is located at

A google map. This map does include expired Domer licenses as well as CD/CP Part 22 crap. You won't see all of the part 22 licenses listed because the majority are tied only to market area (AKR-CAN) and a frequency range, with no location data.

https://goo.gl/2yQHq8

If you live nice and close to one of these areas (I mean within a distance where you feel your scanner with ducky antenna would/should pick it up full scale), please listen to the frequencies listed in the DB for the Domer NXDN96 System and let us know if you pick up one or more of the frequencies full quieting / full scale / off the charts signal. Of course, that would also mean you'd be revealing your general location. (if you hear it full scale in Sugarcreek, you're probably near Sugarcreek). Don't worry though, the RR Admins don't care where you live, really. We just need help with figuring out site locations. So if you think you are certain where one of these sites is, please click the Submit button after you go to the link below.

Don't know if this helps but I hear (digital noise) 454.2750 pretty strong and I am basically in between the Strongsville and Richfield sites.
~~

Yeah I mean 454.28125. The step size put it on 454.275.

From my location I get site 2 extremely strong about 48db above the noise and site 4 about 36db above the noise. So from what I'm getting and from what Ed states (454.28125 is the CC at the moment for site 4), I'm guessing site 2 is Richfield and site 4 is Strongsville.

Edit: Not sure about the terminal tower site. Terminal tower sure is high...

On a normal day, with my 700/800 yagi doing the receive from 30' off the ground and at a crappy ground elevation of about 1080ft and hills around me up to about 1275ft within a mile of me in the likely direction of these sites:

Site 1 10 db N:
Site 5 21 db N:1, 6, 8, 9, 10
Site 6 8 db N:
Site 8 8 db N:
Site 9 58 db N:1, 5, 8, 10 (Carrollton)
Site 10 15 db N:

Neighbor listings are already in DB. I didn't specify them here because I can't pull in some of the sites strong enough to get good decode.

Suffice it to say, these sites are likely closest to me, and 4 of the six sites being listed of neighbors of Carrollton would pretty much back that up.

Now I'm getting bursts on 454.28125 as though it were voice. Not steady like CC yesterday.

The CC seems to rotate from what I noticed last night. Don't have my notes in front me at the moment. This weekend I may check out the Richfield and Mantua locations if weather permits.

Site 4 454.28125 is the Public Square site and is the CC ch 20

Neighbors are sites

2 where CC changes between ch 1 19 27
3 where CC changes between ch 4 22
7 where CC changes between ch 5 25

Also have a voice channel for site 4 around 454.605

You sound pretty adamant [and that's great]. I'm guessing you actually drove there? Or are you 10-20 miles away and just making an educated guess?

FYI,

Carroll Co (Site 9 - 454.04375) is a single frequency site.

On this site the CC frequency switches from NEXEDGE (control channel data) to IDAS (when there is a voice call).

Other sites for which we only have one frequency listed may or may not be single-channel sites. If they are single-channel sites they will be doing the same thing.

Yes I was downtown less than a mile from Public Square with DSD+ and an antenna that only picks up strong signals in the vicinity.

When you say "7 where CC changes between 5 25", how are you able to ascertain this? Can you copy site 7 directly?

I ask because it's not in the DB. Do you know the site frequencies for Site 7?

Come on folks. I can't do it all.

I've got the southern sites pinned down for the most part. Site 6 might be Wooster. I'll be checking some more tonight.

That leaves Sites 1 through 4 to you guys up in Akron or north of there.

Watching the control channel in DSD+ the event log will show L181-4 neighbor: Site L181-xx; CC=XX

I could not find the neighbors as the antenna I am using is not the best I will see if I can better map out sites 1-4 and see if I cant get closer to them.
