i am from wilcox county. i do not know the xmt freq. just the recv 153.290, the closes kenwood dealer is in macon ga. sorry cant be anymore help to you.

Why can I hear the state patrol dispatcher but not the troopers.

you receive the gsp dispatch on 154.680 and you need the frequency to receive the mobile units on 154.800 that is why.

Because you have to be close to hear the mobiles. Their (the mobiles) radios are set up to talk on 154.68 and hear the response on 154.8. Reverse at the post.

Because you need a giant antenna. They dont use a repeater set up. Troopers often cant even hear other troopers.

What was old is new again......at least over the Christmas holidays.

Dooly Sheriff back on their old dispatch frequency 155.580 (yep same tone as before, PL 127.3).

Not sure if this is a temporary move or a new/old permanent home...
