Is Downers Grove police dispatch encrypted now?

Nope. Not until towards the end of Q3 or early Q4 2022. EVERY police agency dispatched by DU-COMM & ACDC law enforcement talk groups will be encrypted 100% of the time. Although there is a possibility it could happen sooner depending on several factors.

Could just be a quiet day for them.. all the other dispatch channels on ducom are clear.

OK, thanks all. I did hear that they will be going encrypted sometime this year. I'll have to keep checking posts the find out when it will happen for sure.

Encryption for all DU-COMM and ACDC dispatched entities will be delayed to the end of 2022, or possibly Q1 or Q2 of 2023.
