Downtown Toronto DMR

Was in Toronto today and did a bunch of scanning.

451.1375 & 451.4750 both Cap CC 10
I saw TG 105, 106 and 128 all encrypted. Both these frequencies are licensed to Bearcom at Ontario Place.. They do have more frequencies licensed to them but these are the only two today that I heard active.

409.2125 & 409.4125 both Cap CC 12
This definitely belongs to Ryerson (Toronto Metropolitan University).. TG 20 is security and TG 54 I heard a call to a "Roaming Specialist".. not sure what TG 30 and 40 is. I did not hear anything on 409.0125 or 409.7000

406.8375 & 422.8750 DMR CC 10
Heard TG 8355 on the 406 frequency talking about testing a Code Blue in ICU bed 7 and TG 8357 on the 422 frequency but not sure what it is. I also have heard 8356 on the 406 frequency.
Both of the frequencies is licensed to St Joseph's Health Centre.

I also believe 406.8375 is licensed to Mount Sinai Hospital.

So has Ontario Place utilized encryption based on those freq's ?

Also those frequencies for Toronto Metropolitan University the new control channels?

Ill have to program the rest into my scanner and see what I can find.

Hey there, ya 406 is but both the 406 and 422 are licensed to St Joseph's.. and I checked my notes and also on the 406 I also saw TG 8356 so on 406 I have seen TG 8355 and TG 8356 and on the 422 I saw TG 8357 so that's why I believe these both are St Joseph's.

Well the Ontario Place ones I am not sure if it actually is OP but the only thing licensed on those two frequencies are both licensed to Bearcom at OP.

There no control channel with DMR but I did hear the typical Cap+ blip on both those frequencies. On I believe they referenced a room inside the U and I checked and it was a valid room for them.

I may have some information for TMU / Ryerson that I gathered before covid shutdowns. I'm almost out of their range but can confirm what you found. I was wondering it it being Hytera caused odd groups but will share what I saw back then.

21 security tac
30 facility engineering
31 facility ch2
40 cleaning
50's seem to be project, group and activities channels. Not knowing campus I noted what I could

54 SOC Events Laptops
55 Library
80's were odd set that sounded like security but not sure
80 ELC access?
84 access archway ??

So in regards to TMU/Ryerson I was looking into the "Roaming Specialist" that I heard referenced on TG 54. I am wondering if this TG is part of IT Services department. I was checking TMU's website and saw this (Eduroam). It does seem to be a possibility.
