****THIS IS A DRILL****
There is a Drill Today in the Inner Harbor that is being run by the Coast Guard . It is supposed to be a Crusie Ship @ Seigart that has had an Explosion on Board & it will go from there. Listen Folks keep an Eye on your Frequencies and look for unused ones

Also......Coast Guard's routine marine warning broadcast on VHF 16 a few minutes ago indicated that the drill will be run from 08:00 - 16:00 today........had figured something was going on - there was a lot of chatter on heli-com (123.025) regarding some major activity in the Balt Harbor.

Thanks for the TG's, Mo....does 5376 appear to purely be a Foxtrot TG....or does it seem to be shared w/ motor units as the database suggests? I've seen some postings indicating that perhaps the motor units operate off district TGs and not exclusively off separate TGs. Any ideas?

By the way....anyone copying Coast Guard activity? From Northern Balt Co, I'm not getting any activity on the usual VHF freqs nor on a handful of CG UHF freqs (and normally I can copy traffic)....maybe they are staying low-power for the drill? Nothing on 151.205 or 39.22 for DNR either. ??

Nathan, you've reminded me that after this exercise is done, it might be a good thing to put our heads together and design a bank of frequencies that would probably be used during an emergency. Of course we don't know which county/city activity would be included until it happens but all the state and/or federal agencies could be grouped into a bank. It might just be a worthwhile bit of preparation for these uncertain times we live in. I'm prepared in other ways for a disaster and think I should be prepared with communications needs also. Because of your position, I think you have some valuable information you could share with us. Any thoughts on this?

I don't know this is the first time I ever heard activity on this TG. I often hear the motorcycle units on Citywide. I can't remeber ever hearing them on a district channel. Although I'm sure if they needed to they would switch over.

I'm all for that...An emergency bank with Nationwide, Federal, and State common and emergency freqs. But for the county specific stuff, we might just want to list em, as many on the trunk systems.
Also, I think we should include utilities. Especially, for those events that the power goes out...
