One thing you can do is go to their frequency page. Click on the call sign and it will bring up a map with the transmitter location for that frequency on it.

For the metro areas they are on a trunk system. So you will have to click on the system license they are using, AZWINS system. That will be a little harder to identify what units are on what system as there are multiple transmitters for each talk group.
I hope this helps a little.

Actually, the Highway Patrol is one of 5 divisions within DPS. They were rebranded as the "Highway Patrol Division", so the Highway Patrol still exists as its own distinct division with DPS.

See Organization | Department of Public Safety:

"The Department of Public Safety is composed of five primary divisions - Highway Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Technical Services, Agency Support and Major Incidents."

"The Highway Patrol Division (HPD) is staffed by uniformed state troopers; they are highly recognizable by an all-tan uniform and Montana Peak (Smokey) hat.

HPD is comprised of troopers assigned throughout the state who help fulfill the AZDPS mission of protecting human life and property by enforcing criminal and traffic law. Troopers patrol over 6,800 linear miles – which actually total 27,000 highway lane miles across 16 districts statewide and serve as the front line in deterring criminal activity along Arizona’s highways.

The division combines enforcement, training and public outreach to improve highway safety, while striving to reduce collisions and increase the efficiency of the highway transportation system. One of the responsibilities of HPD is to support the state of Arizona and its citizens by patrolling the Capitol districts both in Phoenix and Tucson.

HPD also staffs the Arizona Department of Transportation's (ADOT) Traffic Operations Center (TOC) and provides assistance to other local, county, state and federal agencies.

HPD analyzes data on a regular basis in order to deploy its troopers strategically throughout the state. It also participates in numerous traffic safety enforcement campaigns and special enforcement operations throughout the year in partnership with local and national law enforcement."

There is no more highway patrol, Arizona State Troopers within the Department of Public Safety. They rebranded some time ago.

BAH HUMBUG! The real folks are the Highway Patrol, not the wannabe Arizona State Trooper/'PoPo'. DPS wants to be called State Police more than anything and has since the late 1960s.

I was ALEOAC long before POST came around and everything had to be done the way of California

My recollection is that a few years back, there was some discussion/uncertainty as to what the Highway Patrol officers should be called, as there was no official name designated by the state. Rather than calling them Officers (as is the case in California), they were officially named State Troopers. Same great people, but now with an official state-designated name to recognize them as distinct from other types of law enforcement officers. At least his was one occasion when Arizona decided that it was going to be different than California and have a distinct title that applied only to the Highway Patrol.
