Happy Holidays! When listening to drive thru window radios, I hear one side of the conversation. Usually the restaurant side. Are these simplex or something else? 1 or 2 frequency? UHF type. Does anyone else hear customer side of conversation?

Thanks

Most of those use duplex systems, the few that are remaining on analog FM. Usually the speaker talks back on VHF low band, 37MHz with the headsets on UHF, these are the older "HME" units from decades ago, surprised they are still in use. Most have been replaced with 900MHz spread spectrum versions or ones that use 2.4GHz.

Usually two frequency. Customer side was always hot so nothing would be missed. Order taker side was VOX or push to talk since customer didn't need to hear everything.
and if still Low/High or UHF/UHF there is a PL for the Order Box to the Cashier a PL for the Cashier to the Order Box and a 2nd PL for headset to headset chatter

I did notice on the UHF types, the 2way car frequency seems to be lower power. Maybe half the watts of what the 1way order clerk txing frequency.
That's why it has been a little tougher to find the 2way FREQS.
