I am wondering if anyone has pickup anything on there scanners at all about maybe drone launch locations, vehicle location, or things for that matter? Ik its a long shot but its a thought that I had.

I can't help but think it would have already come out if anyone heard anything.
Maybe this is the modern-day equivalent of the crop circles.

I would think so to. But you would think they have to communicate somehow other than cell phone.
I'm sure they already had cell phones. That would certainly simplify things and "they" might be only a couple of people, anyway.

Last night they were spotted around the Columbus area (Genoa, Ulysses, and Octavia as well). I first tried scanning for any frequencies in search, but was unsuccessful. It may be pure speculation, but the ground unit(s) could be communicating via VOIP or other forms of communication that my not appear on our scanners.

It is really interesting to listen to the LE agencies track these reports. Three were spotted hovering by Genoa and then headed east (according to Nance County SO). They also spotted 3 near Ulysses at approximately 9:30pm. Butler County SO tracked them all the way to Octavia about 50 minutes later which is when the deputy reported seeing 4 or 5.

What would be interesting is if someone created a map of drone sightings with dates and times.

We call those cell phones.

Everyone is assuming it's a group of people doing this (and it might be) but remember UVAs can be programmed to coordinate with each other during flight.

I'm waiting for the conspiracy theorists to come up with "proof" of UFOs, Armageddon or the Republicans or Democrats coming up with some sort of new strategy. Personally, I think it's LGBTQ, the Anti-Defamation League, ACLU and the Garden Club of Council Bluffs, Iowa, working together on a new plan to take over the world.

I like this quote from a local sheriff...

Martin said members of the Air Force attended Monday’s meeting and assured the attendees that the military is not behind the drones. But Martin admitted "I don't know" when asked if he believes that.

There was a big kerfuffle about a fleet of drones pattern flying in Colorado last week.

As is typical, all the government agencies lied about any knowledge of them.

Turns out it was the Air Force... Colorado drone mystery sightings finally might be solved

It would be fun to monitor the control signals on these craft, but I know nothing about how people use tablets to control them.

First of all, if they (assuming there is a group of operators) are communicating via cell phone and were located around the areas the drones were flying, I want to know what cell phone carrier they are using because my service is unreliable in those areas lol.

I'll probably listen for more law enforcement activity tonight about these craft. Last night both agencies described that the drones hovered in place, then a short while later they departed eastward. To me this sounds like a new flight plan or something was being coordinated with each group of drones.

It is crazy to think that the ones flying from Ulysses to Octavia were reported in the air for at least 50 minutes (without knowing where they originally came from and where they went to after the deputy ended his chase). Assuming they flew as the crow flies, they were traveling at approximately 24 mph.

I just want to mention that when this kind of drone news is reported, no one mentions the fact that flight time is limited. The weight of the battery. More battery = more weight. And as to the shut down of major airports, have any of the people that spotted drones been trained to identify a drone from a plastic grocery bag blowing it the wind at the far end of a runway? Many drone sighting investigations have determined that they where not, but that is not a sensational news fact to report as is the alleged sighting. And why the drone hysteria?

I will agree with you in a general sense, but in this instance it has been confirmed that these are in fact drones. Multiple law enforcement agencies have reported them to be flying around 200' to 300' above ground (the Butler County deputy reported the same thing last night). Some of the poor eyewitness photos show a green light on one side, a white light in the middle, and a red light on the other side (consistent with standard anti-collision lights on other aircraft). Also, with a confirmed flight time of at least 50 minutes and the distance traveled, I would almost find it hard to believe these are battery powered. Most of these reports say the wing span is about 6', so these aren't your typical phantoms/mavics/etc.

The military is too large and diverse for any one group to know what the others are doing, no matter what they say.

So, how large are these drones?
I saw one post saying 6 foot wingspans so pretty large in my book. I was just wondering if all of them are similar in size or if some are much smaller or even larger.

It's interesting regardless.
Are any of the sitings more like hobby size drones that one could purchase from say Amazon or a decent hobby store? I'm a dummy when it comes to drones so I'm just trying to get an idea of how large these things actually are.

Obviously DOD driven or it would have been shut down long ago.

I'd have to agree. I think the biggest question is why are they doing this (and being rather secretive)? Many of the reports suggest they are flying in a type of grid search formation. I wonder if they aren't doing some type of research using FLIR, IR, or maybe LiDAR map modeling of some kind. It sounds like they are mostly reported over rural areas (it would be interesting to hear if they are spotted within the metro areas of Denver and Omaha). I feel like the scale of this operation is probably a little more than just a training exercise; however, I'm not suggesting any conspiracy theories or anything.

Glad the aliens finally smartened up and started flying drones. Makes it much easier for the extra terrestrials to not crash a ship in roswell if they are flying drones from the comfort of their UFO in orbit. Or, and hear me out on this, from the moon base on the dark side of the moon. Perhaps they are using the drones to locate cattle and people to abduct. ha ha ah.. ok im done.. Aliens flying drones.
