Little more simple way to add talkgroup names and radio alias, even a key board command to do that would be nice, such as pain in the nuts to click Misc, Edit Group, Select group then type the number in, then do it again for the name.

Kind of surprised the DSD fork offs havnt added anything like that

I believe you can do that using DSDplus UI in the editor. From what I understand you don’t have to restart DSDplus for the changes to take effect. DSDPlusUI - The best and only GUI for DSD+ - dsdplusui.com

For groups, have you tried DSDPlus Groups Editor by Radio Reference user @Phillipsc84 ?

If you like the group editor, maybe reach out to him and ask about the radios file
Since it was asked, Yes I would create one for the radios files as well and really any other data files if anyone would want that.

I'll give this a shot. Be little cleaner to edit previously seen groups from over 50 systems iv came across then doing the ole notepad edit

But i ment like editing the groups in real time. Unitrunker its double click that group/radio to add an alias to it. Simple and fast. Trunk88 it was something like Ctrl+G for groups and Ctrl+R or I for radios. Was just way faster to type stuff in rather then having to make 6 clicks plus typing to get the same thing done.

Keyboard command to edit group/radios would be super handy i think

Only thing that is holding the program back for me is the audio quality overall. My guess is how the vocoder was implemented but hoping it gets changed as the great updates come through. Overall tho the program is great when obtaining system info.

I agree. Other DSD-based derivatives like DSD-FME have superior audio quality, but they don't seem to work as well on weak signals. Honestly, I'll take the reliability of DSD+ over anything else but if they could improve the audio quality and retain the sensitivity, that would be huge. Still use DSD+ as my primary decoding software.

FMPP's and FMPA's features need to be aligned to FMP24's features. They are lacking AM, (normal) Scan, Squelch, manual PPM change, etc.
Having an option of -S (or -s) at the CLI to start Scanning automatically with a command + having multiple Scanning Lists to select from (-S1 -S2 etc.). And probably other stuff I am forgetting.
I asked for all of this a long time ago via the email.
Nothing heard since.

I do most of my groups, radios editing in Excel. Just open the file as a .csv and you can edit and sort systems and TGs. For basic editing or adding I use notepad. I do agree that a shortcut for real time editing would be real convenient. Having TG color based like suggested would be real nice. I also would love to see the groups file have an additional part added for the ENC key and algo.

EG:
P25, BEE00.AD9, 20783, 50, Normal, 72897, 2026/05/23 23:21, "EMS London WEST" , ALGID=AES , KID=0E01

Hackrf support plus a fast scanner where you can define range and lock out freqs would be deluxe.

There was/is a radio editor as well that I was working on and then got busy. I did want to combine them into one and have an editor for all.

I think since it is a Windows console app there is no good way to do this easily except for file editing. You could edit with my app in "real-time" by refreshing which is something I can look into.

I have actually been working on and think have a good working base for an SDS display only app. It's designed to mimic the look of an APX mobile display with Day/Night modes and super simple features.

Its mostly radio ID's i edit on the fly.
Monitoring on a radio and hear a call sign i want to tag in DSD its just alot to click this this that this then type the number and do it all again to type the name, by then 4 new call signs have been said.

Need keyboard command that pops up, enter the radio id# hit enter then automatically goes to alias side to type a name in
