DSD+ feature requests

Hopefully the dsdplus authors still read this forum...

(1.) I would like the ability to lock out individual radios. Placing L/O or priority above the threshold in the .radios file has no effect. I have a Nexedge 48 talkgroup that runs the dispatch unencrypted but encrypts all other radios. When an encrypted radio talks, it takes dsd+ a few seconds to unmute, so I miss the dispatch response. If I could lock out all the encrypted radios and just allow dispatch to be followed, life would be better.

(2.) When running multiple single SDR dongle monitors, I would like for only one at a time to output audio to the speakers. In other words, when one has a VoiceActive file open all others would be muted. Make it work like a scanner in that the first channel talking has control of the audio output. As it is now, when more than one dongle is talking they mix together in the speakers. This could be implemented as a command line option.

Perhaps I am missing something. If anyone has a solution/workaround for either of these issues, please respond.

How about a TG scan / search delay? And ability to listen to private calls?

How do we do it? If you see a private call, is there a way to hold on it? Thanks.

Feature wise would be nice to be able to change the colour for a specific group or radio

But even better then that would be a keyboard command to quickly edit a group or radio alias rather then having to click Misc - edit group - select group then the alias

I don't use it but there is an option on the Misc tab to hide all background events and traffic below monitoring threshold. I don't know if it works with locked out groups.

It would be nice to be able to block out "PSTNI" calls...

Would blocking ID# 16776896 accomplish this ?

I will bring up two old requests, that has been requested multiple times in the past - TETRA support and option to enter known keys. At least the basic ones.
Now to the new ones. I support the idea for color coding different talkgroups.
Would like to see a hold function based on a timer - if timer is off -> hold until released, if timer is on -> release after X minutes.

LOL. When you say "option to enter known keys", that's the kind way of saying "I want to be able to decrypt". I'm almost 999% sure that you'll never see that happen. And my personal hunch is that there is about a 1-in-a-billion chance that it'll ever do Tetra. Of course, I'm not a betting man, so If I'm wrong I'm not gonna lose anything. But I think you already know those two things aren't going to happen.

Another option (Dont think its currently an option?)
To be able to add tags to status and messages.
Local P25P2 system units send status and messages and just comes over as whatever the number is. Be nice to be able to change that from "Status 5" to Arrived
Or message 5 to on delay

Yeah, yeah, yeah...the good old moral speech that everyone is preaching like it if you don't say it some guys with black cars wearing black suits will come to get your keyboard so you can "speak" no more :)
But now you said it, so you and your keyboard are safe!
Don't get me wrong but you know that not everyone lives in America, right? Different countries, different laws. If you are so concerned about people not doing illegal stuff, why such software ever exists as there are for sure laws that prohibit listening even on celar transmissions.
And if we have to go deeper and more technical, not every "locked" system uses encryption, so "I want to decrypt" is certainly not the right thing to say. But I guess you are knowledgeable enough and you know that. Other than that, keys are not somethig you can obtain by just searching in google or asking ChatGPT. If one knows the key, maybe there is a reason for that :)
But let's not hijacking the thread and keep it clean. If you want to discuss it more, you know how to PM me :)

Cheers and let the feature requests flow continue :)
