My setup got corrupted somehow and I'm struggling to fix any old setups I can find on usb memory, etc. I am a novice and barely got it working the first time, one dongle.
Anyway, I think I deleted the original email for my fastlane sub, I actually contributed twice cuz it was worth it, but is there any way to get back on the list? I used gmail I'm almost certain and have emails from 2020 sending FL updates that are now dead links.
If I get my setup working again, the "updates" that pop up using the software are just for the public release, correct? Not the FL?

That's what I saw on a YT video, I dunno, the site says dont corrupt your fastlane build, updates will come, so I was wanting to stay in the loop.
I'm trying to get the new pub. release to work. I cant seem to find cc for my area, had it talking earlier today and closed it to edit fmp24 and now its dead again 😞
Thanks for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it. I'm not knowledgeable concerning this tech.

I'm pretty sure the devs keep a record of all emails that purchased dsd+ fast lane in the past. If you emailed them and explained yourself, and asked for a link, they would probably provide you with an email.

Thank you, I did that. We'll see. I also requested it a while back and heard nothing, I replied using an old mail from them.
On a happy note, I got this new public release working on my local public safety system somehow 😂and am very relieved, couldn't understand what happened. My ancient ground plane I built from copper wire (from the old Radio Shack antenna book) is working great.
I need to get something better than the old rg58 cable for it.

I used 25 feet of RG6 quadshield on my Tram 1410. Didn't do too well on 700-800mhz frequencies, but I think I'll blame the discone over the cable.

Currently using that discone to decode DMR frequencies. It does a better job there.

Use a cheap $20 yagi from Amazon with rg58 and it does decent. Would likely do better if I had a place to mount it higher outdoors, especially considering my roof is metal.

I built a 800mhz yagi with a square wooden trim piece, hot glue, and some clothes hangers for radials. It ain't pretty but. It did about the same as the Amazon yagi did. Being hot glued, it's fragile. I think I'll rebuild it with better materials sometime or at least use epoxy instead of hotglue to secure the radials lol.

700-900 mhz I have two 1/4 wave gp's with about that 25ft of rg6.

😅Those look bigger than coat hangers, but ok! That's some Walking Dead level fabrication, good on ya!

FL and the latest pubic release are the same. FL will (I hope) be updated as time goes by.

A good s/n (signal to noise ratio) is important for good decodes. Set the gain appropriately.

I create a directory and copy radios, group, network, site files (etc) into it now and then. I have had to revert (regress) back a few times after cocking something up.
