DSD version 1.7.0-dev under Linux giving Segmentation fault errors

Hi All,

Last year I installed DSD version 1.7.0-dev using George Smart's instructions and using Szechyjs version on Github. Built and installed on Linux with no problems. Worked fine but the version did not have much of the error correction coding and other info that I would need going forward with my changes.

So today I decided to replace this version with Eric Cottrell's Feature/DMRECC branch in his github site. So I removed the dsd folder and started by git clone Eric's Feature/DMRECC branch. This recreated the dsd folder and copied all of the new code. Then I created the build directory and from there compiled and installed the program without problem. Verified that the new version of dsd executable was copied into usr/local/bin

I did notice that the Szechyjs version used port audio and had to use the -i pa: and -o pa: switches with dsd.
But this version uses the default ALSA audio and the terminal window was working by just executing dsd at the command line. However at various times the program would crash with a Segmentation fault error. See below:

How do I fix this problem?

Additional information. The segmentation fault crash always occurs after voice starts being received. In other words if data, idle frames, or control info is being decoded the program works fine.

BTW this version of DSD 1.7.0-dev by Eric C is the farthest along as far as I know that is available on Github. I need this version to make mods for debugging one of my projects.
