Hi,

Just setting up DSDPlus Fastlane. I'm noticing that no audio inputs devices are showing up, only audio output devices.
I've searched forums but can't seem to find out why?

Please note: I've been using VB-Cable successfully with other software with no problems.Screenshot 2022-07-05 151102.jpg

Thanks,

Do you have an input attached? For example SDR running with FMP24-CC?

Hi,
I literally downloaded DSDPlus yesterday, and it's all new to me. I watched a YouTube video from Tech Minds, where he ran DSDPlus.exe to show available audio input and output devices. That's as far as I have gotten.
I'll have to see if I can find a primer for starting from square one, for absolute newbs like me.. I have to apologize for being in the dark.

When you run DSD+ FL with FMPx, the console output does not show the input sources.
You should still see them listed in the GUI menu (Menu>Input).

If you run DSDPlus.exe by itself, you will see them listed in the console output.

I managed to run FMP24.exe and was able to tune to a Environment Canada weather frequency. I heard perfect audio.
It looks as though audio is passing through from my RTL-SDR dongle. Now the learning curve starts.Screenshot 2022-07-05 174728.jpg

I recommend you turn down the gain from 49.6 to something lower (maybe 20 something). Also, the bandwidth for that NFM WX signal is a bit narrow. Have you tried listening to DMR, NXDN, or P25 signals?

Have fun - DSDPlus Fastlane is a great tool.

Just taking my first tentative steps, but I do hope to find and decode DMR, NXDN, and P25 signals in my region. I can hear signals from the Greater Vancouver area where I live, so it should be interesting.
I'll have to wrap my head around a lot of new concepts, but I'm retired now, so I have a lot of time on my hands. :) Thanks to everyone for the answers. I'll now try to learn as much as I can.

If you watched this video, its from 2019 and the version there being used with vb cable was DSDPlus v2.183. At some point, enhancements were made where vb cable or virtual audio cable are not needed. They can still be used if desired. I run 3 different systems using 3 dongles without any vb or virtual cables. Only time I ever use vb cables is when scanning around with sdr#.

Success!
Was able to decode a local NXDN48 service. Heard some interesting conversations. So happy to get results after only one day of messing around with DSDPlus. I was afraid it was going to turn out like my experiments with setting u a Linux desktop. :)
