Hi all,

I did a small day trip out to the Hamptons this past weekend, here are some findings of the East Hampton P25 System:

- The analog system is still on the air and carrying traffic.
- P25 system shows Site 3 and Site 4 of Suffolk County P25 as peer site.
- Didn't observe any affiliation onto the P25 side during the 5 hrs of monitoring, all talkgroups heard seems to be patched from the analog or Suffolk P25 system.

Talkgroup Updates:
305 - Phase 2 - East Hampton Town PD - Patch from analog East Hampton system
65182 - Phase 1 - SCPD Command Patch Audio
65406 - Phase 1 - MEDCOM E Patch Audio

SCPD Command and MEDCOM East are already in the database with different TGID's. Have those two TGID's been replaced with 65182 and 65406?

Sounds like they are using Inter RF Subsystem Interface (ISSI). P25 ISSI
The CT Statewide system uses it to link Middletown P25 & Wallingford P25 TRS's into the system. It allows seamless roaming onto a neighboring system. I see talkgroups ranging from 65336 to 65534. They are dynamic and can change anytime. So what is using 65530 today might be on 65350 tomorrow.

Thanks, is the dynamic talkgroup assignments specific to the manufacturer (Motorola/Harris)? Is there any correlation on how Motorola handles 65xxx assignment versus Harris?

That I don't know. I see the temporary RIDs in the 1677xxxx range. In DSDPlus.RADIOS, there will be some radios that show up with the other system ID and correct RIDs. I think those are from the initial affiliation or registration.
The problem I run into is the same group can be clear FD traffic today and encrypted PD traffic tomorrow. As a result, I have to lockout all 200+ groups (I use ID Search 24/7)

Maybe we ( I ) can add a description to the East Hampton P25 system that says there is an ISSI Link between Suffolk's P25 and East Hampton's P25 and talk groups in the 65xxx range are temporary patches between the two systems?

Then I'll pull the two 65xxx talk groups from the EH system if we agree and leave a note in the description.
