hello- i dont know how far away you are from east hartford, but i live in glastonbury and i hear them just fine.
all i can say is nextel is becoming VERY popular these days for security purposes. if you listen to the police department very carefully, you will hear those nextel beeps in the backround.

460.600 is still in use! I listen to them all the time. Remember, scanning involves a lot of patience. You'll hear something eventually!
