EchoLink COM port non-connection

When I try to use EchoLink I can't transmit because I get no available COM ports available for use. Is there a work around this problem. Has any of you had this kind of problem trying to use EchoLink?

Is this in user mode or sysop mode? What operating system and what exactly are you trying to do? Are you using a com port to control a node radio?

I am a regular user of EchoLink, my understanding is there is a recent update. Don't know if that involves your situation or it's the setup by the person doing it.
