Here's some useful info. I have the EDA-2800 8-way and I have installed a ferrite choke over the coax power in cable. Things are better. Just food for thought for others using the same splitter.

Cleaning up the buzz

More ferrite chokes added to all my power in cables to every scanner. I found ebay selling 10 packs of chokes for under $25.00. Understand my scanners are very near my computer and monitor and other equipment. I like the results, for me less buzz and that's a good thing. Also I had a few problems in the milair band stopping and buzzing on certain freqs. The real test is later this month with Red Flag at Nellis I will post results. Best noticed improvement was with my PSR-410 wow should have done this a long time ago.

A couple weeks ago I was reading your posts from December 2013 about the EDA-2800 and ordered one from ebay last weekend. Hooked it up and WOW what a difference. I was using a standard three way splitter with a GRE amp with questionable results and this is a huge improvement. I have ferrite chokes on everything else but I didn't even think of putting one on that. Even had one sitting on the desk. Guess I'll have to do that.

Glad the post helped you. I think the EDA-2800 is great for eight scanners. I have Par filters in front of mine because of my area and too many FM radio stations.
