EDACS/Provoice

I have an edacs/Provoice system where I live that I know my 396XT can't listen to. But its in the database I downloaded to my scanner from RR. When I sit on that channel (if that's what its called) shouldn't I at least be able to hear something whether its garbled voice, or just a control channel noise? I sit on the 3 channels for Thunder Bay Police and there's not a sound from the scanner. Is this normal?

Hi again jaray, that system is very complex. I managed to figure some of it out but fell away from it due to time. If you are interested in attempting to work on it with me just MSG me, hopefully we can figure something out. The frequencies on here were donated by me and it seems to be 3 edacs trunk systems with 2 of them being the same for simulcast. Since I posted the frequencies the data channels have changed I think, edacs can do that quite easily. You can also try me on email wrees at hotmail dot com.
